In a bit of a pickle......

Well, I have gotten myself into a bit of a pickle.  You see, I have committed to sell at the Home for the Holidays craft show in a couple weeks...gulp...and I still have not hammered a single thing.

Thankfully I have quite a bit of old stock still on hand...and that I work well under pressure. So I will be feeling the pressure over the next few weeks!

What have I been doing instead? Well...enjoying my new shorter, commute to work and back home with all the beautiful back roads scenery. I get home lot earlier as well. And  I am still working away at the house, more going to Goodwill, lots of tweaking and refreshing. I am really happy with how things are coming along. We had to replace the kitchen floor AGAIN after yet another water line break in our fridge, so that sucked up a couple days as well.

I have managed to squeeze in a trip to the September Nashville Flea market and hit my favorite thrifts over the last few weeks.

I scored this beautiful Bavarian bowl and plate at Goodwill of all places!

And how about some French Limoges from Southern Thrift for 1.50?

I never leave an Anchor Hocking bowl behind, even the plain white ones, and especially when they are only .99!

A couple more fun scores from my favorite indoor flea market.

This sweet little swan.

And bowls...always bowls!

This one look familiar? I scored one in yellow this summer, sadly, it did not last. My son broke the yellow one. The risk you take when you actually like to use your vintage finds. This size makes the perfect popcorn bowl, and is exactly what my kids grab them for.

And we had to snatch up this Cherry Glasbake cup for my mom who loves her fruit dishes!

I really did not find much at the September Nashville Flea market, but my fascination with kids dishes seems to be lingering on!

Love the BC Fire King bowl for 3.00!

And I had to grab the two Hazel Atlas striped cups, 10.00 for both!

And this darling tiny chair for my daughter to sit on while she blow dries her hair in the mornings!

And I think that was it....not a lot at the Nashville Flea, but of course I have high hopes for October!

I love the month of October, and even though it has not yet felt very fall like, I have been enjoying the weeks coming up to Halloween by binge watching some of my favorite scary movies!

What? "Sudden Fear" is not a horror film? Hey, as far as I am concerned anything starring Joan Crawford or Jack Palance is terrifying. For the record, "Sudden Fear" is a rocking great Film Noir, I highly recommend you watch it!

And I have been reading Agatha Christie non stop. I have loved her books since I was 13, but I have not read them all.

Of course we started decorating for Halloween! Grabbed pumpkins, gourds and mums!

And I am having fun with our skeletons!

More to come on that for sure!

and I have been baking and cooking up a storm!

This Wheatberry Fall Salad is to DIE for!

Peanut butter cookies! And chocolate chip, and Molassas...lots of cookies have been baked the last few weeks.

And still more to bake in the coming weeks!

Hope you are enjoying this shift into Autumn!
